Google Gas Wars + Fishing for Loose Change from the Couch…
July 12, 2008 5:01 pm T.M.'s BlurbsHey readers. It’s T.M. Harris here.
Yes, the subject of my email is weird, but you’ll soon see that
it’s all true.
(Watch me prove it)
I just wanted to let you know, that I won’t be online tomorrow or
Monday at all. We had a rehearsal for the wedding last night, since
the church we’re holding the wedding at has something going on
tonight.
YES…I’m getting married tomorrow. My fault for not posting about
it sooner on this blog. I’ve just been busy lately.
Am I nervous? No. I just want to get it over with
You know…get a moment away from the kids and life for a day with
my new bride.
But basically, I wanted to point out two things to you today. And
it touches on two topics that I know you’ll be interested in.

GOOGLE LAYS THE SMACKETH DOWNETH…
As you know, with oil/gasoline/petrol prices rising like crazy all
around the world, people have been turning to alternatives to
having to deal with gasoline.
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, there’s been products
popping up like crazy that talk about running your car on HHO (a
water-based derivative). They say you can create a simple
apparatus for your car that will create HHO out of simple water,
and you car will start burning off this HHO as well as gasonline.
In the end, your car is supposed to eat less gas in the process,
and therefore increase your gas mileage. Overall, you’ll be buying
a lot less gas, and keeping a lot more in your pocket.
I’m not going to advertise any info products that talk about how to
do this…as it’s not my place to advertise it.
So, why am I talking about it?
Well, I caught a glimpse of a letter that was sent to one of my
online buddies about his choice of advertising these types of info
products that can ultimately help out the ‘little guys’ and our gas
problem.
Here’s the message:
Dear AdWords Advertiser,
We’re writing to let you know about a change to Google’s
advertising policies that may affect your AdWords account.
Beginning in the coming weeks, we will no longer accept ads
promoting ‘run your car on water’ and ‘water for gas’ type content.
We’ve made the decision to disallow such advertisements based on
business considerations and user feedback.
When we make this change, Google will suspend all ads identified as
being in violation of this policy. If your account is affected by
this policy change, please make any necessary changes to your site
to comply.
We have thought hard about our stance on the advertising of this
content and the potential effect our policy decision could have on
AdWords advertisers. However, as a business, Google must make
decisions regarding the advertising that we accept. We apologize
for the inconvenience this policy change may cause you.
Sincerely,
The Google AdWords Team
I’ve heard so many debates on various forums over this one…so
I’ll leave it up to you to formulate your own conclusion on this
one. If you drive a car (and you know how much of a penny pinch it
is nowadays) then you’ve felt the hit at the gas pump.
And now, Google won’t allow advertising for a gas-saving product.
I’ve heard several theories around this already…but you can come
to your own conclusion on this one.

THIS KID WON’T STOP!
I’ll be straight up honest, this kid Chris Rempel is tenacious.
I know not too long ago I was telling you about a report he wrote
about his ‘conduit method’ for affiliate marketing. I know many
people checked it out…that’s why I wanted to tell you about his
newest one, if you wanna check it out.
There’s a line I saw on the website that really had me laugh,
because I wished I used this on one of MY salespages.
When it comes to the price of his product “VIP Confessions -
Reverse Niche Selection”…
“I’d be willing to bet that your couch probably
has close to that amount in change among its
various crevices and cushions…”
Change from the couch?! Hilarious!
BUT…
The content is serious. Lemme copy a bullet point or 2 before you
check out the website…
(well, the ones I was hooked on)
…
- How to ethically leverage other people’s previous hard work for
immediate profits. Never before has it been so easy to literally
just “mimic” your way to success with virtually no effort or risk…
- The 2 types of markets where substantial profits exist. And this
has nothing to do with only targeting desparate buyers…
- How to determine exactly WHY a site is succeeding, and how you
can instantly “steal” those factors and use them immediately
yourself - legally!
- How to instantly “swipe” someone’s entire marketing strategy and
simply duplicate it yourself
Sounds like something you’d be interested in now?
Here’s Chris’ new site:

Honestly, I wasn’t going to tell you about Chris’ website, because
I didn’t know it existed until I started writing this email.
Somebody emailed me about it, so I checked it out for you.
But it’s up to you.
I gotta go feed my kids, and then send the misses off to her sister-in-law’s
house…since we can’t see each other after tonight until the ceremony.
Wish me luck!
.
Enjoy yourself,
T.M. Harris
