Other Places You Can Easily Promote a Blog or Affiliate Link…

T.M.'s Blurbs No Comments

Hey readers!

If you read my post from yesterday, you’ll see how I talked about creating a blog to promote affiliate links as solutions to people who HATE their niche.

Well, I was reading “ListBlueprint” yesterday after I posted this, and realized another unsung place where people don’t try to do the same thing…

YAHOO GROUPS & GOOGLE GROUPS!

Now, “ListBlueprint” talks more about Yahoo! Groups because they’re more active and heartfelt than Google Groups (in my opinion).  But the idea is still the same.

Both of these sites Yahoo and Google have huge followings, even in their ‘Groups’.  You can easily use my tactic from yesterday to find groups and forums on both of these sites to find people who are frustrated with whatever niche it is you’re trying to promote for.

Here are links to the two group sites…

http://groups.yahoo.com

http://groups.google.com

Definitely give them a look and use my tactic from yesterday’s post.

But seriously, as an affiliate marketer, you really need to start building a list.  I cannot harp on this enough.  The reason why I always talk about and recommend ListBlueprint is because it works! It really does, and I truly truly want every single one of my subscribers and readers to read it and LEARN from it.

Many see the $9.97 price tag on it and think it has no value.  It has TREMENDOUS value, because a lot of the content in the book not only will help you build a mailing list that you can advertise to…but the tactics can be used for any type of website you WANT!

And the case study disclosing the niche that pulled him in 25K+ subscribers in a short time is genius.  I saw the stats, and he his squeeze page was converting at 70%!  That’s amazing for a squeeze page.  So, 7 out of every 10 people that were coming to his squeeze page were signing up for his newsletter, and he was scoring off of a One Time Offer, that really wasn’t one…yet it made him so much friggin’ money.

Let me stop harping on this ebook.  I just think it’s that good, or else I wouldn’t be harping over a cheaply priced ebook, would I?

Here’s the link to it if you wish:

Easiest Way to Promote Any Affiliate Product with No Money

T.M.'s Blurbs 1 Comment

Hey there readers!

I learned about this recently, and I wanted to share it with you, because in all honesty…you can use this to EASILY promote any affiliate link with damn near perfect success. Seriously, I wanted to show you this, because I actually want to teach people how to promote MY products so that we ALL can make money. LOL Gotta love my hustle, right?

But anyway, let’s get down to business.

First off, you need a blog. If you don’t have one, get one. It’s free, buddy…no matter which way you look at it. Get a blog, get a blog, get a blog! Go to blogger.com or wordpress.com and get one for free. Thank you.

This might sound cheesy, but the fact of the matter is, this translates into traffic, that converts into sales, especially if you do this simple tactic.

Set up your free blog, and then hit up Google.

Using the dating niche as an example, this would be my search…

dating sucks forum

Yup, I’m going after disgruntled people in that niche, and trying to satisfy them in a personal manner. Watch.

I’ll visit the forum, and look at a few threads, just to see why these people hate dating so much. These types of hate forums are nothing but complainers, always talking about why they couldn’t get down with whatever your niche is.

So, they’re telling you what they’re looking for! You don’t have to ask for it, or even have to post the forum asking a question to find out what they want. The entire forum is for people to talk about their hate for a niche, and discuss why they hate it. You’re going to turn this into a nice “pre-sell” for any affiliate product.

Sooooooo….

We jot down these frustrations, because we’re going to repost them in a blog post. When I was searching dating hate forums I would jot down what they’re talking about. People were saying how, I can’t get a girl because I’m fat, or I hate online dating ’cause I only find whackos…so I copied this down and put it in a blog post.

I’d start off a blog talking about “why would anyone hate [niche]?” Then I’d outline each reason in a new paragraph. After all of it, I would say, “but even though someone could hate [niche] for those reasons, they probably haven’t seen this website that I found today”.

Then I’d say “On this website I found out these things about why you shouldn’t hate [niche]”

I’d proceed by rewording a few benefits from the site’s salespage, or I’d just reword their bullet points.

Then I would say “For someone knowing a little bit about why people would hate [niche], I seriously believe that this is something that would make you no longer hate it. I know they have a guarantee on the website, so they must stand by their promises.”

Then I’d present my affiliate link (cloaked, of course), and then throw this in…

“If you’ve heard of this website before, definitely post your comments about it, so that others can read it and make their own decision for themselves.”

Then, I’d simply accept good comments, and reject bad comments. I’d always make everything on my blog reassuring to the reader, from the content to the feedback. Make sure that on your blog you can moderate all comments before they get posted.

Any negativity (bad comments) is only going to kill your promotion. You want everything to be on the up and up for everyone, so that everyone who reads will feel more comfortable with going to the site and making the purchase.

Make sure you ping your blog when you post it, and ping it when comments have been accepted. Usually a blog should have two feeds. One for your posts and one for your comments. That’s because people sometimes subscribe to the comments of a blog, since they were a part of the discussion.

Anywho, I’d return the forum, register for it for free, and then edit my ’signature’. In my signature I’d post a link to my blog post saying “Why Would Anyone Not Like [niche]? - My Thoughts”

I’d B.S. some quick two-lined posts just to start getting my name around on the threads, and subscribe to the thread via email. That way, I can monitor how many people are viewing my signature, especially in a niche where I have the solution to their ‘hate’ for a niche.

They’re in distress, and I’m their hero…but I’m feeding off of their hate in a personal manner via forum, and good blog copy based upon the feedback THEY were already putting out on the forum.

Hope this helps you out! And make sure you subscribe to my blog if you wouldn’t mind. And, check out this offer I saw today by boy Drew…he’s one of the experts on affiliate marketing. I should know because I’ve read his stuff, and he’s damn good.

Until tomorrow,

The Black Woman from Mississippi Who Became the World’s #1 Super Affiliate Marketer…

T.M.'s Blurbs 7 Comments

Hey readers.

This post is going to shock you and might even make you dummy smack yourself…

Today, I wanted to talk about a black woman from Mississippi who came up poor and instantly became the world’s #1 super affiliate marketer. She never created an ebook on her success as an affiliate, she didn’t offer any high-priced seminars showing people how she did it. As a matter of fact, about 99.99% of people who know her have no idea she’s even the world’s #1 affiliate marketer.

Who is this woman? OPRAH WINFREY

Think about it…she embodies everything that a super affiliate marketer is supposed to be, and has done everything that these affiliate gurus do.

  • She has a following that hangs off her every word (Oprah’s Book of the Month Club & TV Audience)
  • She constantly has new content to build her authority as an expert (her TV shows interviewing experts)
  • She makes heartfelt recommendations based on the needs and desires of her followers

Now, I want you to seriously think. This woman is well worth billions beyond billions of dollars. Do you really think she recommends other people’s products and items on her show for nothing?

Every book she recommends to her ‘book of the month club’, she’s probably getting royalty and commission checks for it.

She probably gets paid to recommend half of the stuff, anyway. These are things that the ’super affiliate marketers’ do daily. They promote other people’s products for a commission. They take money and contact their vast list of followers with a ‘paid advertisement’.

The super affiliates interview experts and become experts by association (like Oprah does).

The thing is…Oprah’s been doing this a long time, and she’s still going strong, whether you like her or not. Honestly, I respect her hustle, as it should be an example to all affiliate marketers worldwide.

  1. She built a following (a ‘list’ to us marketers)
  2. She has a big venue to deliver her message (TV for her, websites and blogs for us)
  3. She has credibility by association by interviewing the experts (marketers do this via teleseminars, webinars, and interview transcripts)

These are things we all should be doing to build our affiliate marketing business. And, the best example by far, that hasn’t been publically documented, is by watching what Oprah does everyday. I don’t watch her show. It’s too girly for me…but you have to respect the fact that she has a targeted list of leads (her TV viewers and book club members - mostly women) and she advertises to them without pushing them to buy anything. She gives her recommendation, offers a review of it by telling her feelings about it and divulging some of the content, and she makes the call to action (”Ladies, this is a must-have, go pick it up at your local bookstore”)

So, before you decide to pick up that book by some ‘beach bum turned affiliate marketing millionaire’ or that skinny guy from Singapore, or from the guy who went ‘from food stamps to 6 figures’…remember, that the best affiliate marketing lesson can be learned from a daytime talk show.

You probably weren’t expecting me to do a whole blog post on Oprah, did you? :)

How to Build a Mailing List: The 5-Step Blueprint REVEALED

T.M.'s Blurbs No Comments

Hey reader…  Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I know a lot of my buddies are going to get BLASTED today, and I’ll be one of them.  Trust me, I don’t really drink alcohol, but I’m grown…and this is usually one day that I do have a few drinks on.

So before I pretend that I’m Irish for a day, I wanted to send out this email while I’m sober  :)

I’ll be talking about building your own mailing list.  I think we all know what good is it to have your own mailing list, as it’s pretty much one of the easiest ways to make a quick buck on the internet.

It’s pretty much an open-and-shut case, when it comes to building your own list, as these are five steps that you must undertake if you wanna do so and be successful with it.  Here it goes:

1) Research your market to see if building a list is worthwhile
2) Build a squeeze page
3) Drive traffic to that page
4) Convert the traffic into subscribers
5) Convert your subscribers into cash

Doesn’t that sound simple?  For me, it is.  For you, it might not be, since you probably don’t have a list right now anyway (or just a bunch of lame excuses).  But in the end, that five step equation is what it’s all about…no more, no less.

Now, after reading those steps, some questions may arise like:

“Tim, how do I research my market?”
“Tim, how do I build a squeeze page?”
“Tim, how do I get traffic?”
“Tim, how do I convert these strangers into subscribers?”
“Tim, how do I get money from my subscribers?”

Well…answers to these questions can be found in this step-by-step list building blueprint I found for you.  I won’t bore you with the details, as I’m not a boring guy :)

You can get all the details here:
http://www.tmharris.net/listblueprint

This blueprint basically answers all of your questions, in a simple easy to read fashion that’s not boring.

This guy Dave Bullock isn’t boring, neither.  His blueprint for properly and successfully building your own list is something that you can easily bank off of once you read it and actually FOLLOW his instructions.  I personally know of several internet marketers that I work with who actually follow the same exact blueprint that we all read from Dave.

See, Dave built a list of 1500 subscribers in a week with free website traffic, and that turned into 4000+ subscribers in 30 days.  Now, that same list has 25,759 subscribers to date.

Mind you, he started building his list with ZERO subscribers and ZERO dollars, just like you…and he even gives you a case study all about his list with 25K subscribers, which I thought was cool for us little guys who are still struggling to succeed.  Dave just makes it seem so easy, because it really is.

Are you excited yet?  If not, then throw some hot coffee in your face and check your pulse…you’re probably dead.

If you are, then you can read his list building blueprint here:
http://www.tmharris.net/listblueprint

Just imagine how much easier life would be if you had a fat list like Dave.  Just shoot out one email, and be able to pay your bills, take care of your loved ones, your health and your happiness.  That way, you can finally laugh and your boss and tell him or her to kiss your “you know what”.

Now do you see why I want you to build a list so friggin’ bad?  I’m just trying to make your life a little bit easier than what it is now…

Enjoy your St. Patty’s Day,

My Greatest Strategy That Helped Build My Online Business

T.M.'s Blurbs 1 Comment

Hey readers!

Fancy meeting each other again. Anyway, I wanted to actually let
you know that my niche marketing is starting to pay off. I have
worked out a deal with a nice guy in the real estate field, and I’m
helping him promote his real estate venture online.

I’m really liking the possibilities with this one. So, if you wanna get
in on a house for cheap, I have a hookup that can get you one for
$25K with title and all in the Midwest U.S. Email me and we’ll talk… :-)

So, over the past day I’ve been thinking of different strategies I
could use to help him out. I’ve also been studying up on relation-
ship marketing, since that seems to be the general theme this year
online.

But one strategy that has never failed me over the years has been
the ‘viral report’. I can almost guarantee that you own a viral
report, but you don’t know that.

Good example - Books with Master Resale Rights.

These types of books go viral quickly, as every marketer who is
trying to bank off of his/her list buys these MRR books so they can
resell the book and the license on to their customers.

The act of passing the book on and on and on makes the report viral.

It’s one of the sneakiest ways in which internet marketers have made
their message go viral, without having to spend any money on
advertising.

When the whole $7 craze was going on, this was an excellent example
of viral promotion. Honestly, affiliate programs are basically
viral in their own sense. Someone buys an ebook, and they’re told
after the sale that they can ‘recoup their investment’ or simply
‘make money’ by promoting the guide.

So the promotion goes viral for the book’s author.

Every ebook of mine is a viral report in some way, shape or form.

I either have an affiliate program for the report, or I grant
Master Resale Rights to the customer. This makes my reports go
viral easily.

There’s another way in which these reports go viral, and that’s via
‘rebranding’. I have one rebrandable report out there and it helps
me build my mailing list. I don’t get a lot of signups from it, but
every now and then I do.

Now, I have nothing to promote today, as that wasn’t my intention.
I’ve been busy most of the day trying to brainstorm how to promote
for my new real estate venture where I’ll be getting $2K per sale.

But, I wanted to point this out because on Monday (St. Patty’s Day)
I know of a new website that is launching that will actually help
you create viral reports for your own business. No, you won’t have
to pay anything for it, and I already asked the site owner that. I
told him I’m trying to cut down on my exposure in the IM niche…and
that I was tired of promoting IM products.

So, since it’s going to be a freebie, I figured I would be decent
enough to let you know ahead of time.

So, on St. Patty’s Day, go out and get plastered, tank, piss drunk.
But before you do, I’ll let you know about this free viral ebook
creation site so that you don’t goof it up while you’re drunk off of
Ol’ Grandad Whiskey.

Yes, I know about Ol’ Grandad Whiskey. When I turned 21 it was my
first ‘legal’ taste of liquor…and BOY was I tore up the next day!

Anyway, if you want a sneak peak at the site before it launches,
visit:

Viral Ebook Explosion

Remember there’s nothing to buy, and there’s actually a free audio
interview on the frontpage that doesn’t require a signup or any of
that nonsense.

I gotta run. I have company coming over later, and my daughter made
a crayola mural out of my friggin’ walls

Time to get the Magic Eraser from Mr. Clean! LOL

How to Get More Affiliates and JV Partners EASILY

T.M.'s Blurbs 1 Comment

If you have your own ebook, I’m sure you’ve heard of how you should use affiliate programs to get others to promote your ebook. I’m not going to insult your intelligence by assuming that you have no idea what I’m talking about.

But when you have your own ebook, don’t you find it harder than ever to not only get people to promote it for you, but even to get a hold of these people to do it?

That was one obstacle that actually prevented me from getting anyone to promote my first ebooks. It’s not hard for me anymore, but I feel for others who are in this predicament now.

In the past, I’ve told you about getting JV partners, and how to do it. Well, I wanted to relay some information that I was taught by my JV Broker actually, and it helped me with my recent release “Cheap PLR Profits“…so I’ll teach it to you now.

If you don’t talk dollars and cents to potential partners, they are probably not going to promote, PERIOD.

First off, you need to know your product’s conversion ratio. This is simply a ratio of buyers to website visitors. So for instance, if your site has received 1000 visitors, and 30 of them have purchased your product, then we take 30/1000 = .03 or 3%

3% is your product’s conversion ratio.

Now, if you’ve never sold your product before, then you can do like I do, and simply build your own mailing list, and pitch it to them first. I do that all the time before I release anything.

There are many ways in which you can build your list. I have a whole book about it and more HERE that you can check out whenever you wish. But let’s stick to the business matter at hand.

Now, once you’ve found out your product’s conversion ratio…multiply that by the price of your product, and then multiply THAT by how much you plan to pay your partners and affiliates.

EXAMPLE:

You have a $47 product, that converts at 3% and your affiliate program pays out 60% per sale to your affiliates.

So, $47 x 0.03 (3% conversion) x 0.60 (60% commission) = $0.84

So what does $0.84 mean? Well, to your potential partner…this is how much they should ‘virtually’ get for every person they refer to our product. So, if you have a potential partner, you can tell him/her that the ‘visitor value’ is $0.84 and how they should earn $0.84 for every person they send to your site.

Now, some partners I know won’t promote a product unless the value is at least $1. Honestly, I don’t blame them, as they’re thinking about PROFIT!

So, if you wanna increase the ‘visitor value’…either:

1) increase your product’s price
2) rework your sales letter to convert more visitors into buyers
3) increase the amount you’ll pay to your affiliates
4) ALL OF THE ABOVE

I can guarantee you, that if you know your ‘visitor value’ for your product, and you do one of the three things above to increase that figure, then you’ll snag more affiliates and JV partners to promote
your stuff.

But, even if visitor value is high…you still will have people that won’t budge at your offer. These guys are all a part of the ‘inner circle’ of GURUS…and sad enough, these guys won’t work with you unless you’re part of their circle of influence.

Well, like I said…there is ONE thing that you have to talk when it comes to getting someone in that ‘inner circle’ to budge at your offer.  It’s worked for me, and should work for you.

You have to talk MONEY.  Point blank.  Ways I’ve gotten the attention of big name gurus was to basically talk money with them, by saying how beneficial I could be to their affiliate program, and how I want to know more information about it.

What guru isn’t going to help out someone who wants to make them more money?
They’re money hungry…so instead of talking favors, talk DOLLARS AND CENTS, by offering them to bring them more money.  Seriously…

I’ve gotten JVs with people simply by telling them how big my list was, and that I wanted to pitch their stuff to them.  That got their attention quite faster than a kid running after the ice cream truck  :)
But like I said, even if you get their attention that way, you’re still going to have to talk money to them when it comes to getting them to promote YOUR product.  That’s why it’s best to know the visitor value so that they can see whether or not the opportunity is good for them.

They’re going to look at THEIR list, and how big it is.  They know how many people click through to their affiliate link when they shoot off an email.  Their multiplying their list size by their CTR (’click through’ ratio)
to see how many people would potentially visit their link. And then, they’re multiplying that times your visitor value.

In the end, they’ll come to a conclusion as to how much they could possibly make from promoting your product.

If they don’t like this figure, they’re not going to get back to you.  If the figure looks nice for them, they’ll ask for their affiliate link.

Now, just because you might have them as a promoter for your product, that’s not the end of the story, my friend.

Now, you gotta them to actually follow through and PROMOTE.  They might be busy, or get caught up in some other business venture.  Hey, it happens…even to the best of us.  Look at how most newbies jump from promoting product to product all the time.  Don’t think some of your affiliates and JV partners won’t do the same.

You gotta get them to be eager and READY to promote your product at will.  If you want to learn how to do this, then you need to read Sales Army Secrets by Jimmy D Brown.  In his guide, he’ll show you how to basically take a “general’s” position with your ‘army’ of affiliates and JV partners.
I hope this helps out a lot of people, and definitely throw me some feedback, OK?

Many thanks,

T.M.

The Importance of Another Eye

T.M.'s Blurbs No Comments

Hey there readers!

Today, I wanted to talk about something that a lot of people aren’t doing with their own websites and promotions.

I respect those who actually take action and do some of the things that they learn in all these ebooks and courses and other media.  Usually 1 out of every 100 people who read or learn something actually do something anyway.

But those who take action, and are primarily new to the game, do everything with pure confidence.  Although that’s good and all, the fact of the matter is they think that everything they do is pure gold.  And while that’s a good feeling to have, you also have to remember…that it’s YOUR OPINION.

Do you actually know what other people think about your site?

Do you actually know whether or not people are actually interested in your stuff?

Do you actually know whether or not your site will convert and if it’s actually going to do something for YOU?

These were the questions that were proposed to me by one of my mentors before I published my first successful website, and I’m glad that he pointed them out to me.  In my mind, this prompted me to actually go out and get reviews on my websites from people in the niche market that I wanna promote to.

And although you may get SOME response, it’s not going to be THAT good.  I recommend that people who are truly set on being successful with their respective websites, should get a mentor or a coach to not only look over their site, but also give helpful suggestion and lay out an action/business plan for you.

I know with the people I coach, not only do I review their website and let them know what I think, I also give them helpful suggestions that will increase their bottom line and get the job done quickly and easily.  In addition, I also lay out action plans and even business plans for my clients…and they really appreciate it.

One guy emailed me the following:

“Personally, I wish I had come in contact with you sooner, as I would have loved your continued help in my growth process, or perhaps that I had worked a little faster […]  Without question, you have been extremely helpful to me in getting me beyond the hesitations that I experienced, and will continue forward without let up.”

Plus, when you have a coach or a mentor, they can also inspire you to do the step necessary for success that you were not confident in doing before.  Sometimes you need reassurance, positive thinking, and someone to hold your hand.  Everyone is different, and coaches respect that, and act on that for YOU.

I still have coaching spots open.  Email me to get in, and I might give you a discount.  I have 4 spots remaining as of this writing.

Why Having a Big Email Mailing List May Be Bad and Even Hurt You…

T.M.'s Blurbs No Comments

I didn’t realize this until the other day when I read this guide “Sneaky Cost Cutters Revealed”, but I figured that I would tell you anyway.

Are you aware that if you have over 10,000 email subscribers with Aweber, that you can actually be charged an additional $9.99 per month? Yeah…and extra $9.99! You get the unlimited package for $19.99 a month, but the only thing that is not unlimited is the numbers of subscribers that you can manage. I had no idea about that.

Anyway, if you’re trying to get a big list, I definitely invite you to do so. I encourage it. Having a huge audience is the most vital piece of having an internet marketing empire, and even I strive for it in my niches. It becomes the backbone of your business, and creates a lucritive income for all who take full advantage of it.

But occasionally, you need to do some cleanup to your mailing list. Even though people unsubscribe, they are still on your list…you just can’t email them. Those dead leads are only taking up space. So every now and then, you need to go through your control panel on Aweber and delete all of the bounced, doubled and unsubscribed leads.

Bounced leads are leads whose emails addresses cannot be contacted because

  1. their email address got suspended for extended inactivity (usually with free email services)
  2. their email address no longer exists because the user closed it out (usually with paid email services)
  3. their email inbox is too full and has met its storage quota

These leads are just wasting your quota, so tell them to bounce!

Doubled leads are leads that appear on more than one of your mailing lists. That means they could be on two or more lists, and it’s just taking up precious spaces that you’re paying for every month. So, delete duplicate email addresses ASAP!

Unsubscribed leads are people who basically said, “I’m no longer interested…I’m out!”, and then unsubscribed from your list. Hey, it happens to the best of us, and it happens to me everyday, as well as my other colleagues. But in the end, even though they don’t want you to talk to them anymore, their email is STILL on your list, taking up valuable space. Delete it!

Always play cleanup with your Aweber account, and you can save yourself $10 a month on your Aweber bill.

Anywho, this is one sneaky little cost cutter that Aweber didn’t want you to know. There are others…with the some that are way more valuable than this tip. Definitely a must read, especially for the $5.99 I have it for from this site.

Sneaky Cost Cutters Exposed!

I love bad PR

OK, some there’s a person out there on the internet who thinks I am a whiner! I love stuff like this as it makes me laugh.

Re-inventing? Let’s see…every internet marketer is basically ‘re-inventing’ the same old rehashed crap. So basically what he is trying to preach to me is that I should basically keep recycling the same old stuff over and over like everyone else in the game.

Honestly, this dude is only preaching to me and everyone else that we should just copy everyone else. Fine with me. I can easily do that…but I’d rather not to. Oh well, I’ve ranted, I digressed, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

If you wanna read this dude’s crap about me, CLICK HERE
